At Hyper Hitch, we ensure the best material combinations to deliver premium products! Over 2 years of development has gone into this hitch design to create a premium top-performing product. The drop body is precision machined from solid steel bar stock for it’s high strength. This is welded to the heavy wall steel receiver with a six-axis robotic MIG process to ensure repeated quality. Finally, this assembly is powder coated to provide a long lasting, durable finish. The ball mount is CNC machined from a custom extruded, tempered, solid aluminum bar and is finished with a unique anodizing finish to give it the custom Hyper Hitch look! The 2” & 2-5/16” balls are CNC machined from solid stainless steel bar stock to provide maximum corrosion resistance and durability. The two balls on every hitch are factory tightened together with 250 ft-lbs of torque using our custom pentagon style socket for maximum security. In addition to preloading, the threads are held in place with thread locker to ensure a permanent bond. We stand behind our products, which is why we offer a free lifetime re-tightening of the balls. If for any reason the balls loosen themselves up, we will re-tighten them at no cost. We offer this service because if installed improperly, a loose tow hitch ball can be extremely dangerous; not only for you, but everyone on the road behind you! This hitch is rated to tow up to 12,500lbs with the 2” ball and up to 16,500lbs with the 2-5/16” ball. This product fits standard 3” receivers, if your vehicle is equipped with a 2” or 2.5" receiver please see our other products to meet your needs.
